The Office of the Dean of Students at Sengerema World Mission Frontiers College of Agriculture and Technology (SWMFCAT) is committed to ensuring a vibrant, supportive, and well-rounded student experience. We focus on the personal welfare, academic support, social engagement, and holistic development of every student.
Our Mandate
We are here to support, guide, and empower students throughout their academic journey at SWMFCAT. From orientation to graduation, the Dean’s Office provides services that promote student success, well-being, and positive campus life.
Services Offered
- Student Welfare and Counseling: We provide one-on-one and group counselling, mentorship, and support for students dealing with academic, social, financial, or personal challenges.
- Accommodation Services: We oversee student hostels and ensure a clean, safe, and conducive environment for those living on campus. Applications for accommodation are processed through this office.
- Student Leadership and Government (SWMFCATSO): We guide and mentor the student government in their leadership roles, and ensure their activities align with the values and regulations of the College.
- Discipline and Student Conduct: We uphold and enforce the student code of conduct, helping resolve conflicts and ensuring that all students contribute to a peaceful and respectful academic community.
- Funeral and Bereavement Support: In the unfortunate event of a student’s death, the Dean’s Office coordinates logistical and emotional support in partnership with the student government and families.
- Sports, Culture, and Recreation: We promote a balanced lifestyle through organized sports, clubs, cultural events, and entertainment. The office supports access to college sports grounds and recreation spaces.
- Religious and Spiritual Support: Working closely with the Chaplaincy, the Dean’s Office helps coordinate worship and fellowship programs across all faiths, ensuring freedom of worship withinCollege guidelines.
